Graphic design term can refer to a number of professional disciplines and artistic which focus on visual presentation and communication. Several methods are used to create and combine symbols, images and/or words to create a visual representation of messages and ideas. A graphic designer may use visual arts, page layout and typography techniques to give the final result. Graphic design refers to both the process by which the communication is created and the products which are produced.

Courses in Graphic design include advertisements, magazines and product packaging. For example, a product package might include organized text, a logo or other artwork, pure design elements like shapes and color which unify the piece.
